For my bachelor’s thesis, I got the opportunity to create anything I wanted. The final concept was an aquarium with six live fish, who were being tracked by a webcam. Using Touchdesigner, I used this data to trigger several clips in Ableton and render images that were projected live on a 2 by 2 by 2-meter cube. In essence, this made the six fish create live music and visuals. The concept really worked in the end, making it a real-time interactive installation which could run for an infinite amount of time, or at least as long as the fish stayed alive.
